#Kenya’s traders link to #PayPal’s 137-million strong database - thanks to #Equity bank

The global, well-reknown e-commerce service, PayPal has entered into a partnership with our very own Equity Bank, thereby effectively and efficiently linking up traders and freelance writers in Kenya with PayPal’s customer base of more than 137-million active accounts worldwide.

A report by Capital FM  in Nairobi revels that as a result of the agreement, which has been given the green light by the Central Bank of Kenya, Kenyans now have the opportunity to easily link their PayPal account with their Equity Bank account after which they can transfer funds accordingly.

Users will be able to receive PayPal payments in 26 different currencies. Once the funds are received into their bank account, Equity Bank will convert currencies into Kenyan Shillings.  Another advantage of the partnership, is that users will not have to disclose their financial or personal information to transfer funds.

“PayPal is trusted throughout the world. It enables millions of online consumers to shop safely and conveniently",  Equity Bank’s CEO, James Mwangi.
